What’s unique about Larkspur?

Every year in June and July, Larkspur is home to Colorado’s renaissance festival. Going to the festival you will get to step back in time and enjoy the wonderful illusion of being in the 16th century. You can watch artisans create their crafts. You can enjoy some very tasty food from steak on a stick to baked goods. There are seven different stages set up that all constantly have shows being performed. You can even participate in different activities to test your skills. This is an even that is a lot of fun and only found in Larkspur.

Larkspur is also home to Yogi Bear’s Jellystone Park and Campsite. This is a place where your whole family can have fun as you camp or just go for the day to experience their many different activities. As I mentioned above, there are so many activities to be enjoyed Jellystone Park. You can have fun with your family or with a group of friends. Your children can go over for day camp in the summer. There are also many fun things to do if you just have an evening or a Saturday free.

In Larkspur you are just minutes away from Pike National Forest. You can spend endless time there on nature walks or more challenging hiking trails. If you enjoy fishing then you will love spending your time exploring all the different fishing holes nearby. Pike does also allow hunting and four-wheeling, which not all national parks do. If you are looking for a quieter activity then you can also spend a lot of time bird watching in the forest. You can take your camping gear and spend days at a time in Pike National Forest.
